Correspondence of A Lost Item
My guests of the day were two young ladies from New York, who had requested a Tokyo sightseeing tour. To begin the tour, I took my guests to the Asakusa area. Since this area is known for its traditional and cultural aesthetic, I suggested my guests dressing up in a kimono. My guests seemed a little shy and said, “It is too touristy for us.” However, after trying on kimonos at the rental shop, they seemed very happy about the way they looked while wearing the beautiful kimonos. After changing, we all visited Sensoji Temple together.
My guests had so much fun experiencing a real temple visit and taking many memorable photos there.
Before heading to a sushi restaurant for lunch, one of my guests seemed very upset. She started crying and said she could not find her ring, which was a Christmas gift from her parents. All of us searched desperately for her ring, but unfortunately we were not able to find it. Since my guests had a lunch reservation, I took them to the restaurant and helped with ordering meals and drinks. While my guests were having lunch, I drove back to Asakusa once again to search for the ring. I walked the entire way my guests had visited, searching for the ring. It was still missing, so I reported the loss to the local police station. When I came back to the restaurant to pick up my guests, it seemed like they had enjoyed the lunchtime. Seeing my guests smiling relieved me so much!
After lunch, we drove around Tokyo Skytree tower and the Imperial Palace.
For the last stop of the tour, I took my guests to Daikanyama area, because they were interested to visit the stylish, urban side of Tokyo. My guests loved the bookstore called Tsutaya T-SITE. They told me that it was the best bookstore they had ever been to!
To end the tour, I drove my guests to their hotel. Even though an unfortunate event happened earlier in the day, I was glad that my guests looked very happy and satisfied at the end of the tour. I thanked my guests for the day and finished the service.
